A Bug’s Life (1998) – A humorous and entertaining film from the good old days when Pixar only made good movies; like Three Amigos meets Seven Samurai, sort of. 7

3,000! That’s an automatic induction into the sanctimonious movie douchebag hall of fame, right?!
So, I take it you were a little turned off by Cars' "Save Route 66" soap box? Me too. Seen "Up" yet?
ReplyDeleteI have not seen "Up" yet. But it looks promising.
ReplyDeleteWith Cars, it wasn't the soapbox; it was the slow, boring, not-funny movie.
With Ratatouille, it was the fact that they tried to do a more "serious" (dare I say more "realistic") movie (and by that I mean it wasn't funny) that also had some really stupid elements (like the rat pulling the guy's hair to make him move). It was the most annoyingly incompatible clash of tones and styles until Slumdog Millionaire.
