The Hurt Locker (2008) – It’s involving, well-directed and well-acted, but it’s also very predictable and it suffers terribly from its blatant disregard for military realism; on the whole, it’s decent because of its personal focus, but for this to win Best Picture is ludicrous (not that the Oscars count for much anymore). 6
