Transformers: Age of Extinction
(2014) – LaBeouf may be gone, but the franchise’s hallmarks—ludicrous story
elements, irritating goofball characters, and brain cell-killing stupidity—endure
(even the one dependable highlight, Prime, is way out of character); this one is
the dumbest by far—it’s basically an exploding car show with a built-in equally
bad sequel marketed to the Chinese—and since it’s boring to boot, with an
inexcusable 165-minute running time, it might be the mind-numbingest film of
all time. 4
