Argo (2012) – It’s well cast, and Affleck does a great job of recreating the era and making it look realistic, but with a super-fictionalized, overblown script that refuses to develop characters whose fates we’re supposed to care about and a final act that’s pure Hollywood, it just isn’t very compelling. 5
